At Babymint, we believe that parenting is a shared experience - and so is the responsibility to care for one another.
In the first half of 2025, we came together with local families and businesses to host two diaper donation drives in support of Little Essentials, a NYC-based nonprofit providing urgently needed items to families living in poverty. With the help of our incredible community, we collected and donated over 7,000 diapers and wipes to Little Essentials - giving families in need one less thing to worry about and ensuring babies across the city stay clean, safe, and cared for.
Here’s a closer look at what we accomplished together:
May: Babymint x Slate Cafe - UWS Diaper Drive
We kicked off our first diaper drive of the year on the Upper West Side, partnering with the wonderful team at Slate Cafe - a local favorite for parents with little ones. What began as a small idea to turn a cozy coffee spot into a donation hub quickly grew into something much bigger. Parents stopped by between errands and daycare drop-offs, many bringing not just diapers, but also heartfelt stories of why they wanted to help.
We heard from moms who remembered struggling to afford basics in the early days of parenthood. Dads who had extra packs left over from sizing up. Families who just wanted to pass on the care they had once received.
June: Babymint x The Goddard School - Community in Action
In June, we partnered with The Goddard School, whose educators and families rallied behind the cause with warmth and generosity. Over the course of just a few weeks, the drive collected over 5,000 diapers and baby wipes. It was clear this wasn’t just a one-time event - it was a reflection of a school community deeply rooted in empathy, compassion, and the belief that every child deserves to be cared for.
We are beyond grateful to have supported The Goddard School’s efforts in nurturing not just children, but an entire culture of giving. It was a reminder that giving back doesn’t require having a lot - it simply takes the willingness to care and pay attention to those around you.
The Impact: More Than Just Diapers
Diaper need is a hidden crisis for many families in our city. Without a clean supply, parents often can’t send their babies to daycare or maintain steady work. That’s why our partnership with Little Essentials is so meaningful. Every box of diapers we sent their way supports a family who needs to know they’re not alone.

What’s Next: More Drives, More Connection
We’re just getting started. These drives are part of a larger movement we’re building at Babymint - a community where secondhand isn’t second-best, and where every parent has access to the support they deserve.
